Nepal's supreme law, promulgated on 20 September 2015 (2072 Ashwin 3) by the second Constituent Assembly. It establishes Nepal as a federal democratic republic across 35 parts, 308 articles, and 9 schedules, and has since been amended twice.
Muluki Dewani Samhita, 2074 (National Civil Code)
मुलुकी देवानी संहिता, २०७४
In force since 17 August 2018 (2075 Bhadra 1), this code replaced the civil provisions of the old Muluki Ain, 2020 (1963) and now governs personal law in Nepal — marriage, divorce, property, contracts, inheritance, and civil liability.

The consolidated national criminal code, defining criminal offenses and penalties. It replaced the criminal provisions previously scattered across the Muluki Ain and various standalone criminal statutes.
